According to the Florida Association of Realtors, as of the 2nd quarter 2008, the median sales price of single family homes in Brevard County was $163,000 and the median sales price of condos was $150,700. If Mims, Florida real estate is what you are in search of, you'll find listings in the Brevard MLS in neighborhoods such as The Woodlands, High Acres, Spruce Hill, Nicholson Groves and Brady Grove Park as well as the communities of Lantern Park and Fairway Woods both of which are adjacent to the Sherwood Country Club and Golf Course. The Titusville, Florida real estate market in Brevard County has experienced some growth in recent years and has much to offer anyone thinking of relocating here. If downtown Titusville is not for you but you want to live close by, consider searching for a home in the neighborhoods of Colonial Heights, Whispering Hills, Country Club Heights and Lakefront Estates. Other nearby communities to the northwest and west of downtown include Grove Park, Brentwood, Titusville Heights, Forest Hills and Swan Lake. If you want to live near one of the lakes located about three miles west of downtown Titusville, check out the neighborhoods of South Lake Village, South Lake Shores, Hidden Hills, Evergreen, Rambling Acres West (near Fox Lake Park), Carpenter Hills and Beacon Hills. Southern Titusville has some nice golfing communities that are worth checking out, too, including Ravenswood, Royal Villas and Shangri-La (adjacent to the Royal Oaks Country Club) as well as La Cita Country Club and Golf Course. A bit further south are the subdivisions of Hickory Woods, Spring Valley, Ivanhoe Estates, Indian River Heights, Sun Valley and Imperial Estates. Approximately half-way between Titusville and Port St. John is a less populated area located north and west of the Space Center Executive Airport and near McDonnell Douglas Corporation (one of the area's largest employers). Here, you'll find the neighborhoods of Windover Farms, East Winds, South Forty, East Hills, Woodland Hills and The Oaktrails at Meadowridge. Port
St. John, Florida is located immediately south of the executive airport
and about half-way between Titusville and Cocoa,
FL. Most residential areas in Port St. John are east of I-95
with several neighborhoods (including Delespine, Clearview Terrace,
Frontenac, Hardeeville, Williams Point, Brentwood Heights and Orange
Park) being located next to the Indian River Lagoon.
Additionally, there are a few nearby parks that have boat ramps for
those who love to go fishing. Enjoy a great view of Indian River
Lagoon and a picnic at Robert Nicol Park (off US 1 Pkwy./Cocoa Blvd.).The Sunrise
Landings condos is a very popular community next to the Indian River
Lagoon in Port St. John and well worth checking out if you're in the
market for waterfront condos and want amenities such as swimming pools
and tennis courts. Residents of these condominium buildings have
some of the best views of launches at the Kennedy Space Center from the
comfort of their condo balcony or porch! If your preference is for a single family home with a boat dock directly on the Indian River Lagoon, there are several areas in this part of Brevard County where you can find one including off Riveredge Drive/Dixie Highway, Bellwood St., Bonita St., Secluded Way, River Park Blvd., Mahi Mahi Lane and Red Fish Lane as well as N. Cocoa Blvd. and Edgewater Court. A bit further south, you'll find Indian River Lagoon waterfront homes with boat docks on Brentwood Drive and especially along Indian River Drive. Of course, if you like living on a large lot in an HOA-free community, then consider looking at homes in Sharpes Pine Acres (just off Grissom Pkwy. and Canaveral Groves Blvd.). There's also the very extensive Canaveral Groves neighborhood which is located north and west of Cocoa, Florida. These areas appeal to home buyers that want to live in neighborhoods with no HOA (Homeowners Association). In the NW outskirts of Cocoa, Florida, are some neighborhoods that offer easy access to I-95 and the Martin Anderson Beachline Expressway (SR 528) or Bennett Causeway (SR 524). These include Pine Lake Ranch, Grove Acres, The Ranch, Friday Acres, Dalehurst Ranches and Pines, Shade Tree Estates and Hidden Pines as well as Cocoa Rico and Cocoa Woods. |
